About Kevin A Ford
Officer and test pilot in the United States Air Force and astronaut with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). STS-128, Soyuz TMA-06M, and Expeditions 33 and 34 were among the missions he took part in.
Kevin Anthony Ford is a retired U.S. Air Force colonel and NASA astronaut. Ford has received a number of special titles and awards, some of which are the Air Force Service Achievement Medal, Air Force Praise Medal, Air Achievement Medal and Medal expeditions of the armed forces. Ford has also recorded more than 5,000 flight hours and also has an FAA commercial certificate for aircraft, helicopters and gliders. Ford has held several positions at NASA since being selected in July 2000. The roles include Capsule Communicator or CAPCOM. He was also the operations director of the Gagarin Astronaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, from January 2004 to January 2005. He was a pilot of the STS-128 and a flight engineer of Soyuz TMA 2. -06M from October 23, 2012 to March 16, 2013.
