Harriet Rene "Khandi" Alexander is an American dancer, choreographer and actress. She began her career as a dancer in the 1980s and choreographed for Whitney Houston's world tours from 1988 to 1992. During the 1990s Alexander appeared in several films, including CB4, What's Love Got to Do with It, Sugar Hill and Something About Marie. She played the role of Catherine Duke on the NBC NewsRadio sitcom from 1995 to 1998. She also had a recurring lead role in the NBC ER medical drama as Jackie Robbins, sister of Dr. Peter Benton. Alexander also received critical acclaim for his main performance in the 2000 HBO miniseries The Corner. From 2002 to 2009, Alexander played Dr. Alexx Woods in the CBS series CSI: Miami. Police. From 2010 to 2013, she played LaDonna Batiste-Williams in the HBO drama Treme.
