About Kieran Trippier

Professional soccer defensive back who helped Burnley gain promotion to the Premier League in 2014. He joined Tottenham at the start of the 2015-2016 season after four years with the club. In 2017, he made his international debut for England.

Kieran John Trippier is an English professional footballer playing right-back for La Liga club Atlético Madrid and the England national team. Trippier started his career in the Manchester City youth system, but failed to find a place in the first team, after two loan spells at championship club Barnsley. In 2011, he signed for Championship club Burnley on a permanent one-season loan in January 2012 for an undisclosed amount. He was named to the PFA Championship Team of the Year for two consecutive seasons 2012–13 and 2013–14. In 2014 he promoted with Burnley to the Premier League when the team finished second in the championship. A year later he signed for Tottenham Hotspur for £ 3.5million. After four years in north London, as part of a squad that finished runner-up in the 2019 Champions League final, Trippier joined the Spanish side of Atletico Madrid.
