Aphrodite is a professional Terran player in StarCraft II who goes by the gamertag Aphrodite. When she joined Squad StarTale in November 2011, she became the second girl to ever join a professional gaming team.
Kim Ga-young is a Korean professional pool player who competes in the Women's Professional Billiards Association tournament. Her father started teaching her to play pool when she was about twelve years old. After playing three cushions for about three years, she started playing nine ball pool and turned pro at the BCA Open 2003. Kim trained about 30 hours a week and played friendly matches with Asian players from the WPBA. Pan Xiaoting from China. Kim and Pan met in the final of the 2007 Carolina Women's Classic Billiards Championship, when Kim won 7–6 in the first match of the WPBA Asian Championship. Kim and Pan finished the 2007 WPBA season in 2nd and 3rd place, behind longtime leader Allison Fisher. Kim speaks Mandarin in addition to her native Korean.
