Klay Alexander Thompson is an American professional basketball player with the National Basketball Association's Golden State Warriors. He is considered one of the greatest shooters in NBA history. Three-time NBA champion with the Warriors, he's a five-time NBA All-Star champion and twice the NBA Third Team winner. He was also named in the NBA's Second Defense Team. Thompson is the son of former NBA player Mychal Thompson. He played college basketball for three seasons with the Washington State Cougars, where he was twice selected for the first team of the Pac-10 conference. He was selected by Golden State in the first round of NBA Draft 2011 with the final 11th pick. In 2014, Thompson and teammate Stephen Curry set an NBA record with 484 points combined in one season, earning the pair the nickname "The Splash Brothers."
