In 2014, he started his college football career with the Texas A&M Aggies. He was considered a 5-star recruit coming out of Desert Mountain High School and played for the West team in the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Kyle Allen is an American midfielder with the National Football Federation's Washington football team. He was born and raised in Arizona and played football at Desert Mountain High School, where he was one of the best players in his class. He went on to study and play college football at Texas A&M before joining the University of Houston in 2016. Allen signed for the Carolina Panthers as an untrained independent after graduating in 2018. That same year, he started his final game of the season with injuries to Cam Newton and Taylor Heinicke, like much of the 2019 season after Newton suffered another injury. He transferred to Washington in 2020 and started four games before breaking his ankle in one game.
