About Kyle Dake
As a wrestler for Cornell University, he was a four-time NCAA champion. He was selected Sports Illustrated's 2013 male College Athlete of the Year and won the Dan Hodge Trophy in 2013.
Kyle Dake is an American freestyle wrestler and folk wrestler graduate, currently competing at 74kg. Two-time US National Champion, World Cup 18 champion and Grand Prix silver medalist Ivan Yarygin 18, Dake won back-to-back world championships in the 79kg category by beating medalist 2016 Olympic Chapter Jabrayil Hasanov in final, in 2018 and 2019. In his first World Championship tournament, Dake defeated his opponent 37 points to 0, without giving up a single point. Currently having 44 consecutive wins, Dake, the winner of the 2020 United States Olympic Team Challenge, is expected to represent the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Has become the third NCAA Division I National Champion for the third time in history, and is the only one to have done so in four different weight classes without a red shirt season. He was named the Dan Hodge Trophy winner as a senior and he also won three EIWA titles, competing away from Cornell University.
