Lawrence Gene David is an American comedian, writer, actor, director, and television producer. He and Jerry Seinfeld created the TV series Seinfeld, in which David was the main screenwriter and executive producer for the first seven seasons. David has been recognized as a complement to the enthralled HBO Curb Your E series he created and starred as a semi-fiction version of himself. David has written or co-wrote the stories for each episode of the impromptu comedy Curb Your Ebye since the 1999 pilot episode. David's work on Seinfeld earned him two Primetime Emmy Awards in 1993. , for Best Comedy Series and Best Personal Achievement in Writing a Comedy. Formerly a comedian, David participated in television comedy, screenwriter and lead role in ABC's Fridays, as well as a brief writing for Saturday Night Live. David has received a total of 27 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, as well as three Golden Globe Award nominations.
