Lawrence Edward Page is an American computer scientist and Internet entrepreneur. He is best known as one of the co-founders of Google along with Sergey Brin. Page was CEO of Google from 1997 to August 2001, and then from April 2011 to July 2015 when he became CEO of Alphabet Inc., a position he held until December 4, 2019. He remains a member of Alphabet's board of directors, employee and majority shareholder. The creation of Google created considerable wealth. As of April 10, 2021, Page had a net worth of approximately $ 103.7 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, making him the 6th richest person in the world. Page is a co-creator and bears the same name as PageRank, a Google search ranking algorithm. He received the Marconi Prize in 2004 with co-author Brin.
