Margaret LeAnn Rimes Cibrian is an American singer, songwriter, actress and author. Rimes became a star at the age of 13 after releasing her version of Bill Mack "Blue," becoming the youngest country music star since Tanya Tucker in 1972. Rimes burst into country music in 1996 with his debut album Blue, reaching No. 1 on the Best Country Albums chart and certified by the Recording Industry Association of America several platinum records for sales. The first single from the album of the same name, “Blue,” became a Top 10 hit, and Rimes received national recognition for its resemblance to Patsy Cline's vocal style. When she released her second studio album in 1997, You Light Up My Life: Inspirational Songs, she turned to country pop music, which paved the way for a series of albums to be released over the next decade. Rimes has won numerous awards, including three Grammy Awards, three ACM Awards, one CMA, 12 Billboard Music Awards, and an American Music Award.
