Les Stroud is a Canadian survival specialist, filmmaker and musician best known as creator, writer, producer, director, cameraman, and TV presenter Survivorman . After a short stint in the music industry, Stroud became a full-time guide, survival guide and musician based in Huntsville, Ontario. Stroud has produced survival-themed programming for the Outdoor Life Network, Discovery Channel, Science Channel, and YTV. The survival skills imparted by watching Stroud's TV shows have been seen by some as the reason they endured hardships in nature.
