LeToya Nicole Luckett-Walker is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and actress. She is known as a member of the R&B girl group Destiny's Child, and with her she won two Grammy Awards and released several successful commercial records. Luckett has sold more than 25 million records with Destiny's Child on the group's first two albums and single. She started a solo career after signing a recording contract with Capitol Records. Her debut solo album, LeToya, topped Billboard's US 200-album chart in July 2006, and was certified platinum by the RIAA in December 2006. The single, "Torn", reached the top 10 on account countdown to BET, 106 & Parks. She was also named "one of the best new artists of 2006" by AOL and "best musician of 2006" by ASCAP. Luckett released her second solo album, Lady Love on August 25, 2009, which took No. 1 on America's Best R & B / Hip-Hop Album Chart and also at No. 12. on the Billboard 200.
