She rose to prominence after winning Season 4 of Estonian Idol and releasing a self-titled solo album as well as several popular singles.

Liis Lemsalu is an Estonian singer. Lemsalu is famous as the winner of the fourth season of Eesti otsib superaari, the Estonian version of the Idol series. After winning, Liis toured with other Eesti otsib superstar participants and released a single "Kõnnime seda teed" with the show's last artist, Artjom Savitski. She was later signed to Universal Music Group. She appeared four times in Eesti Laul, Estonia's selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, twice missed the final and twice qualified. Her best entry, Made Up My Mind, ranked 5th out of 10 in 2012. She posted many hit songs including more than 100,000 views on YouTube streaming service. Her most popular song on the website "Sinu Ees" was viewed 2.1 million times in 2017, double the population in her hometown, Estonia.
