About Linda Sarsour
American political activist who co-chaired the 2017 Women's March, as well as the Day Without a Woman event in 2017 and the 2019 Women's March. She was also the executive director of the Arab American Association of New York at one point.
Linda Sarsour is an American political activist. She co-chaired March Women 2017, Women's Day 2017 without Women and Women's March 2019. She is also former Executive Director of the Arab American Association in New York. She and her co-chairmen of Women's March were featured in Time magazine "100 Most Influential People" in 2017. As a Muslim Palestinian, Sarsour first caught the attention of opposing police sub-supervision. American Muslim women later became involved in other civil rights issues such as police brutality, feminism, immigration policy and mass detention. She also hosted Black Lives Matter protests and was the main plaintiff in a lawsuit that challenged the legality of Trump's travel ban. His political action has been praised by some liberal and progressive activists, while his stance and comments on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict have been praised by some conservatives and leaders and criticize Jewish organizations.
