Malin Sofia Katarina Berggren is a Swedish singer and songwriter, best known as a former member of the pop group Ace of Base. Enjoying and participating in music from a young age, she formed the group in 1987, together with her sister Jenny, brother Jonas and their friend Ulf Ekberg. Before founding the Base Ace, Malin sang in his church choir. She was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. When Ace of Base was signed with Danish label Mega Records in 1990, Malin, or Linn, chose to take a break from his teaching career. But while her sister Jenny claimed she always wanted to be a singer, Linn never said anything like it. On the contrary, in 1997 Linn said, "I wanted to sing; I never wanted to be a singer." Linn's vocal range is classy as it is recognized for its distinctive vibrating voice and unique expressive voice.
