Loughlin is also known for his roles as Jody Travis in The Edge of Night, Debbie Wilson in The CW series 90210, Jennifer Shannon in the Garage Sale Mystery series and Abigail Stanton in When Calls the Heart. Loughlin is the co-creator, producer and star of two seasons of World Bank Summerland. In 2020, Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded guilty to conspiring to cheat in the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal. On August 21, 2020, Loughlin was fined and to two months in prison.
