Louis Leo Holtz is a former American football player, coach and analyst. He was head football coach at the College of William & Mary, North Carolina State University, New York Jets, University of Arkansas, University of Minnesota, University of Notre Dame and University of South Carolina, compiling a record industry of 249- 132– 7. The Notre Dame de Holtz team in 1988 won 12-0 at the Fiesta Bowl and were the National Consensus Champion. Holtz is the only college football coach to lead six different match schedules and the only coach to lead four different schedules to the top 20 final rankings. In 2005, Holtz joined ESPN as a college football analyst. On May 1, 2008, Holtz was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame.
