Madeline Stuart is an Australian model with Down's syndrome. She has appeared on the New York Fashion Week catwalk, and has also walked the runway for Paris Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, Dubai Runway, Russian Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz China Fashion Week and many more. She is described as the world's first professional model with Down syndrome. Stuart decided she wanted to be a model by visiting a fashion show in Brisbane with her mother in 2014. She lost 44 pounds and then went to a photoshoot. Stuart's career began in 2015, when his mother ran an online campaign to secure him a modeling contract. This led to Stuart acquiring a large number of customers online and signed two modeling contracts: one with fitness clothing brand Manifesta and the other with handbag brand everMaya. She then took part in a bridal photo shoot for Rixey Manor in Virginia and appeared in Vogue magazine.
