Maestro Harrell before fame

At the age of two, he began singing and dancing. He appeared in a number of commercials on television. From 1999 to 2001, he was named the Chicago Music Awards' Most Talented Child Under the Age of Twelve. In 2005, he performed for the grand inauguration of Disneyland Hong Kong. Young Cassius Clay was his first cinematic role, which he played in the 2001 biopic Ali. Following that, he was cast in The Wire, which turned out to be his big break.
