Nicomaine Dei Capili Mendoza, better known as Maine Mendoza, is a Filipino actress and television personality. She is best known for her viral Dubsmash videos and her role as Yaya Dub on the lunchtime variety show Eat Bulaga! “Kalyeserye” segment, previously broadcast on GMA Network and worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV. His popularity is often described as extraordinary and unusual due to the formation of AlDub's loving team in Eat Bulaga! on 16 July 2015, where she was paired with Alden Richards. The AlDub is the coat hanger that features the first names of Richards and the character Mendoza from "Kalyeserye". Beyond Eat Bulaga !, Mendoza starred in the 2015 film My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore, in which she won Best Supporting Actress at the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival. in the 2016 film Imagine You & Me, where she also wrote and sang her theme song. Mendoza has a passion for writing, having been a blogger even before entering the show business.
