Majak Daw is an Australian football player who last played for the North Melbourne Kangaroos in the Australian Football Championship. Daw and his family in Australia are refugees from the Sudanese civil wars. Daw became the first Sudanese-Australian to join the AFL club when he was signed with North Melbourne in the 2009 AFL Draft. Daw's writing attracted international attention; it has been reported by the BBC and Voice of America. He made his first appearance for North Melbourne in a NAB Cup match on 20 February 2011 .
