Maksim Aleksandrovich Chmerkovskiy is Ukrainian-American Latin American champion, choreographer and dance instructor. He is widely known as one of the professional dancers in the American drama Dancing with the Stars, which made his debut in the second season. In his 17 professional seasons, Chmerkovskiy has reached the finals five times, with two finals and two third place. On May 20, 2014, Chmerkovskiy, along with Olympic dancer Meryl Davis, won her first Dance with the Stars title. Chmerkovskiy has also appeared in Broadway productions of Burn the Floor and Forever Tango dance shows.
