Mao Asada is a former Japanese figure skater. She is a 2010 Olympic silver medalist, three-time world champion, four-time champion on four continents and four-time Grand Prix final champion. She was the first figure skater to land three Axel jumps in a competition, which she completed at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
