Mara Escalante is a Mexican actress, comedian and singer best known for staring the Televisa Maria de Todos Los Angeles sitcom, in which she performed three roles, including the lead role. Escalante's career dates back to the mid-1990s. Originally from Mexico City and a former student of UNAM and Instituto Andres Soler, Escalante first became known around the world as a stand-alone actor, developing characters like "Nancy Aerobics", "Chu-Ly", "Dona Lucha" and "Liboria", a policewoman. Her international appeal has brought her from several television series such as Humor es ... los comedy, Al ritmo de la noche, Al fin de semana and Otro rollo to television shows in Western speaking countries. Other Spain including Venezuelan median, Viviana has the cat show as well as a special TV show in Spain. Most of her appearances on Televisa, as well as her appearances on Viviana a la medianoche, were broadcast on the Univision network in the United States.
