Marcelo Balboa is a retired American football defenseman who played in the 1990s for the United States National team, becoming the team's captain. He is a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame. After his retirement, he worked as a commentator for ESPN and ABC and MLS matches on HDNet and Altitude, as well as for FIFA World Cup matches on Univision. He is currently the head coach of the men's soccer team at Monarch High School in Louisville, Colorado.
