Marcus Thorbjörn Ericsson is a Swedish driver and former Formula 1 driver. Ericsson competed in Formula 1 from 2014 to 2018. He currently drives the # 8 Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing in the NTT IndyCar series. After his successful racing debut in 2007, he won the British Formula BMW title with Fortec Motorsport, moving on to the England team, Formula 3 champion, England. After finishing among the top rookies in the class, Ericsson turned to the All-Japan Formula Three Championship, where he won the championship in his first year. In 2010 he moved to the GP2 Series, where he claimed a victory in his debut campaign for Super Nova Racing. From 2011 to 2012, Ericsson drove the car for iSport. Ericsson finished the 2013 GP2 season with the DAMS and made his Formula 1 debut in 2014 with Caterham F1.
