Marion Lois Jones, also known as Marion Jones-Thompson, is a former Belize American athlete world champion in athletics and former professional basketball player for Tulsa Shock in WNBA. She won three gold and two bronze medals at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, but was later stripped after admitting to steroid use. Jones held three world championship titles from 1997 to 1999. By the time she was admitted to hospital and later confessed, Jones was one of the most famous athletes involved in the BALCO scandal. The lawsuit against BALCO features more than 20 top athletes, including Jones 'ex-husband Batman C.J. Hunter and 100m sprinter Tim Montgomery, father of Jones' first child.
