Mark James Patrick Kermode is an English film critic and musician. He is the principal film critic for The Observer, contributor to Sight & Sound magazine, presents the BBC film series Four Secrets of the cinema Mark Kermode, co-presenter on BBC Radio 5 Live Kermode and Mayo's Film Review, and has previously co-presented the BBC Two The Culture Show Art Exhibition. Kermode is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Kermode is a founding member of the Dodge Brothers skiffle, where he plays the double bass.
