Alexander Martin Clunes OBE DL is an English actor, TV presenter, director and comedian. He is best known for his role as Martin Ellingham in the ITV TV series Doc Martin and Gary Strang in Men Behaving Badly. Clunes has reported a number of documentaries to ITV, the first being British Island in 2009. Since then, he has presented a number of animal-centered documentaries. He also voices Kipper the Dog in the Kipper animated series. Clunes was named Officer of the British Empire on anniversary 2015 for serving the theater, charities, and the Dorset community.
