As an actor, he was first known for his roles in Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and his spin-off as Fernwood 2 Night. Other notable roles include Colonel Mustard in 1985 Clue, Leon Carp on Roseanne, Willard Kraft on Sabrina, The Teen Witch, Vlad Plasmius in Danny Phantom, and Gene Parmesan in Arrested Development. He had a recurring role in Two and a Half Men as Russell, the humorous pharmacist and drug addict.
