Martin Hugh Michael O'Neill is a Northern Ireland professional football coach and former midfielder player. Starting his career in Northern Ireland, O'Neill moved to England, where he spent most of his playing career with Nottingham Forest, the team he won twice in Europe, in 1979 and 1980. He has 64 times been selected for the Northern Ireland national team. Soccer. team, was also captain of the team at the 1982 World Cup. O'Neill has managed Grantham Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Norwich City, Leicester City, Celtic, Aston Villa and Sunderland. He led Leicester City to the final of the Football League Cup three times, winning twice. As Celtic's manager from 2000 to 2005, he led the club to three Scottish Premier League titles and the 2003 UEFA Cup final.
