Maryam Nawaz Sharif, also known as Maryam Safdar, is a Pakistani politician and the daughter of former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Maryam joined the family charity for the first time. However, in 2012, she entered politics and took charge of the election campaign in the 2013 general election. In 2013, she was appointed chair of the Prime Minister's youth program. However, she resigned in 2014 after her appointment was challenged at the Lahore Supreme Court. In July 2018, she was sentenced to seven years in prison along with a £ 2 million fine for bribery in the landmark Avenfield case. On September 19, the Islamabad High Court suspended his sentence.
