Masahiro Sakurai is a Japanese video game director, game designer and musician known for his role as the creator of Kirby and Super Smash Bros. series. In addition to his work in the series, he directed the design of Meteos in 2005 and directed Kid Icarus: Uprising in 2012. Formerly an employee of the HAL Laboratory, he founded Sora Ltd. in 2005, a company he still runs. He is also the author of a weekly column for Famitsu magazine and has voiced several of his games.
