Mason Durell Betha, known as Mase, was an American rapper, musician and minister. In the late 1990s, he was recording for Bad Boy Records with Sean "Diddy" Combs. From 1996 to 1999, as main artist or prominent artist, Mase had six Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 singles and five US No. 1 Rap singles. His 1997 Harlem World album was RIAA certified four platinum and his other two albums, Double Up and Welcome Back, both certified platinum and gold respectively.
