Duke University collegiately as a power forward/center. He debuted in the NBA for the Brooklyn Nets in 2013, then was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers in 2015. He competed in the 2015 NBA Dunk Contest as a member of the Nets.
Mason Alexander Plumlee is an American professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association. He mainly plays in the position of striker and center. A rookie in 2009β10, he served as a backup striker for the men's basketball national championship team Duke Blue Devils, playing alongside his brother Miles. He was a 2009 McDonald's All-American in high school. During his final year at Duke, he also performed with his younger brother Marshall. He was selected with the 22nd overall pick by Brooklyn Nets in NBA Draft 2013. Plumlee is also a member of the US national team that won the gold medal at the 2014 FIBA ββWorld Cup Basketball Tournament.
