Kingsland Road is a funk and disco group inspired by British rock and roll music, formed in 2012. The group includes Matt Cahill, Joe "Connor" Conaboy, JJ Thompson and Josh Zaré. Originally five tracks featuring Jay Scott, they finished ninth on The X Factor's Tenth Series in 2013. Kingsland Road released their first single "Dirty Dancer" in August 2014. and it peaked at number 85 on the UK Singles Chart. On October 23, Scott left the group due to a lack of joy. Their debut album We Are the Young was released in March 2015. The band announced a split in June 2015. In 2019, they announced a reunion on December 21, 2019
