Matthew Kelly Sharp is an American musician. Until 1998, he was the bassist for the alternative rock band Weezer, which he co-founded in 1992. He appeared on their first two albums, Blue Album and Pinkerton. In 1994, Sharp founded Rentals, which released four albums. Sharp has also released an EP and an album as a solo artist.
