About Matt Sorum
Former drummer for Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver, as well as the supergroup Velvet Revolver. He's also performed with bands such as Kings of Chaos and The Cult.
Matthew William Sorum is an American drummer and percussionist. He is known as a former member of the hard rock band Guns N 'Roses, who has recorded three studio albums and is a member of supergroup Velvet Revolver. Sorum is currently a member of the touring project, Kings of Chaos, and a former member of The Cult and Y Kant Tori Read. Sorum is also a member of the side projects of Guns N 'Roses, Slash's Snakepit and Neurotic Outsiders, and has released two solo albums, Hollywood Zen and Stratosphere. He has been a drummer for the Hollywood Vampires supergroup since 2015. His latest project is Deadland Ritual, featuring bassist Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, guitarist Steve Stevens of Billy Idol and Apocalyptica singer Franky Perez. After performing on Tori Amos' debut album and synthpop band Y Kant's only album Tori Read, Sorum joined Cult in 1989 on a tour in support of their fourth studio album, Sonic Temple.
