Matthew Pavlich is a former Australian professional footballer who played for the Fremantle Football Club in the Australian Football Federation. A versatile player, Pavlich is widely regarded as one of the first AFL midfielders of the modern era, having performed a six-time All-Australia selection between 2002 and 2008, representing Australia twice in the international series and represented the Dream Team in the 2008 Hall of Fame Honorable Match. Pavlich has played his entire AFL career at Fremantle after making his club debut in 2000. In his 17 years of career, he has excelled six times and won fairer, eight times better goalkeeper and captains club from 2007 to 2015. In 2014, he became the first player from a Western Australia-based club to score 300 AFL matches.
