Mauricio Macri is an Argentinian businessman and politician who was the 52nd President of Argentina from 2015 to 2019. He has been the proposed Party leader of the Republican Party since its inception in 2005. Previously, he was the 5th leader of the Republican Party. Buenos Aires government office from 2007 to 2015, and was a member of the House of Representatives representing Buenos Aires from 2005 to 2007. Thoughtful, he identified himself as a moderate conservative and Argentine liberal. Born in Tandil, Argentina, Macri trained as a civil engineer at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina and attended Columbia University for business school. After entering a business career, he was kidnapped in 1991, and after his release prompted him to join politics. He was president of the Boca Juniors football club from 1994 to 2007, restoring its profits raised its public record.
