Max Landis is an American writer, filmmaker and son of director John Landis. He has written the screenplay for Chronicle, American Ultra, Victor Frankenstein, Bright and Shadow in the Cloud, which are later rewritten after being withdrawn from the project. He directed the movie Me Him Her, produced the Syfy Channel Zero series and created the Dirk Gently Comprehensive Detective Agency series for the US BBC. He has also written a limited series published by DC and Image Comics. In 2011 and 2012, he was included in the Forbes magazine's list of "30's worth watching in the entertainment industry". As of 2017, Landis has been accused by a number of women of emotional and sexual abuse.
