Melanie Moore is an American professional actress and dancer best known for winning the eighth season of the American reality TV show So You Think You Can Dance. According to results posted on the show, Moore won "overwhelmingly," winning 47% of the vote in the final four-vote count. Moore was educated in Marietta, Georgia, where she attended Lassiter High School and was crowned queen of her native country. At the time of the SYTYCD competition, she was a 19-year-old student attending Fordham University at the Lincoln Center in New York City. Moore trained and competed for twelve years at the Marietta Center for the Dance Theater, then twelve years later she began training at the Rhythmic Dance Center. Moore won the JUMP Senior Women VIP Award. Moore appeared on the Oxygen TV show, "All the Right Moves", as a member of the Shaping Sound Dance Company.
