Melky Cabrera Astacio, nicknamed The Melkman, is a Dominican professional baseball player, a freelance player. He has played in Major League Baseball for New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, San Francisco Giants, Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Royals, Cleveland Indians and Pittsburgh Pirates. Despite being primarily a left-hand throughout his career, Cabrera spent most of his time playing in center-back for the Royals and the Yankees. Cabrera signed to the Yankees as an amateur freelance agent. He made his MLB debut for the Yankees in 2005. After playing in fourth midfield, the Yankees put him on a deal with the Braves after the 2009 season. Wrestling with the Braves in 2010, he was released and signed by the Royals 2011. Cabrera had a good year with the Royals and was swapped to Giants for the 2012 season. In 2012, Cabrera first appeared in All-Star Game, winning the MVP All-Star Game Award.
