Eugene Edward "Mercury" Morris is a former supportive and back American footballer. He played for seven years, mainly for the Miami Dolphins in the American Football Federation, then in the American Football Conference after merging in 1969 with the National Football Federation. Morris played three Super Bowls, won 2, and was selected into three Pro Bowls. In 1982, Morris was convicted of drug trafficking charges. After three and a half years in prison, he was released after a plea agreement in which he urged not to challenge allegations of the cocaine conspiracy.
