American actor and comedian best known for his role as crazy neighbor Kramer on the popular television series Seinfeld. In the seventh season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, he made an appearance as himself.
Michael Anthony Richards is an American actor, writer, television producer and comedian. He began his career as a freelance comedian, first gaining national attention when he was featured on the Billy Crystal cable TV channel's first special. It went on to be a series regular on ABC Fridays. He has appeared as a guest on numerous TV shows, such as Cheers. His films include So I Married a Ax Murderer, Airheads, Young Doctors in Love, Problem Child, Coneheads, UHF, and Trial and Error, one of his few leading roles. From 1989 to 1998, he played Cosmo Kramer on the television sitcom Seinfeld, three times receiving the Primetime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. During Seinfeld's run, he appeared in Mad About You. After Seinfeld, Richards starred in his own sitcom, The Michael Richards Show, which was canceled two months later. When Seinfeld ended in 1998, Richards returned to the comedy monologue.
