Michaela Ewuraba Boakye-Collinson, known by her stage name Michaela Coel, is an English actress, screenwriter, director, producer and singer. She is best known for her leading role in the sitcom E4 Chewing Gum, for which she won the BAFTA Award for Best Comedian; and the BBC One / HBO comedy drama I May Destroy You. She is also known for her work in other Netflix productions, most notably as a guest on the Black Mirror series, with Kate Ashby in the Black Earth Rising series and as Simone in Been So. Long.
