Nickelback are a Canadian rock band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta. It includes guitarist and vocalist Chad Kroeger, guitarist, keyboardist and accompanist Ryan Peake, bassist Mike Kroeger and drummer Daniel Adair. He underwent a number of drumming changes from 1995 to 2005, reaching his current squad when Adair replaced Ryan Vikedal. Nickelback are one of the most successful Canadian rock bands, having sold over 50 million albums worldwide. In 2009, Billboard ranked them as the most successful rock band of that decade; "How You Remind Me" is the best-selling rock song and ranked number 4 overall. The group ranked 7th on Billboard's list of Best Artists of the Decade, with four albums among the best albums of the decade being released. The band signed with Roadrunner Records in 1999 and re-released their once-independent album, The State. The album was a commercial success, as was its follow-up, Silver Side Up, in 2001
