Michael John "Mile" Jedinak is a former Australian professional football player who was captain of the Australian national team. Jedinak was born and raised in Sydney and played youth football with Sydney United before starting his senior career at the club. After being loaned to Varteks and South Coast United, Jedinak joined the Central Coast Mariners in 2006. Then he played in Turkey, on loan at Gençlerbirliği and Antalyaspor before joining Crystal Palace and then closing his role at the club which has won promotion to Premier League. In 2016 he joined Aston Villa, where he played until 2019. Jedinak made 79 appearances for the Australian national team from 2008 to 2018, and has been the captain more than 25 times since 2014. This, including participation in the 2010, 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups. He has also played two AFC Asian Cups, including the Australian captain's home victory in the 2015 edition
