Mugdha Chaphekar is an Indian film and television actress born in Mumbai. She has been married to television actor Ravish Desai since October 2016. She won the Maharashtra State Award for Best Leading Role in the Marathi film ‘The Silence’. She is known for various TV projects, especially for her role as Princess Sanyogita in the famous historical Star Plus series Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan. Her popularity resumed back in 2015 when she appeared in Zee TV's Satrangi Sasural opposite her future husband Ravish Desai whom she married in 2016. In March 2019, Chaphekar became famous for her character, Prachi Mehra in Zee TV's Twist of Fate. She has won many awards for her performances in these programs.
