Nathan Charles Buckley is an Australian professional football coach, former player and commentator. He was ranked by journalist Mike Sheahan in the list of the 50 best players of all time. Buckley won his first Rising Star award in 1993, then became one of the game's elite, captain of Collingwood from 1999 to 2007, winning the Norm Smith Medal for Player World's best in the 2002 Final despite the fact that only playing for the losing team is the third player in history to do so, the 2003 Brownlow medal, winning the Best and Fair title. Collingwood's most, Copeland Trophy, six times and was named to the Collingwood team of the century. Buckley was seven times selected for the all-Australia squad and was captain of the Australian football team against Ireland. In 2004, Buckley became the first freelance artist of the Collingwood Hall of Fame. He retired at the end of the 2007 AFL season and became a commentator for Seven Network.
